Information that makes you powerless. But not inpowerless

Though Estonia is not in kinetic war, it is undeniably under sustained assault—through cyberattacks, critical infrastructure sabotage, and pervasive disinformation.

Our informational ecosystem, once stable, has veered into uncertainty. Analogous to a biological ecosystem, this infosphere comprises interconnected components: content producers (benevolent or self-serving), consumers, and decomposers—individuals and institutions who process and reinterpret information. These actors are enmeshed in a complex web of technical and human factors, from media infrastructures to national interests. Today’s hybrid threats demand a holistic comprehension of this ecosystem’s dynamics. As disinformation and hybrid war tactics escalate, only those societies that adapt and restore balance within the in-formation ecosystem will thrive.
